FROM THE NEWSROOM: Nahaco Park campers will be seeing less of a very familiar face around the Woodstock and Eastford-owned campground-- long-time caretaker Rob Davis confirmed he is moving out of his on-site cabin, leaving behind his job which entails maintaining the property and tree-trimming. Davis, who has served as the Nahaco caretaker for more than seven years, said he and his wife are moving back to an Eastford house, and his last day working for the camp is anticipated to be August 15th. But who will take over Daviss duties? Davis said thats all a matter of what the Nahaco Park Commission decides to do. According to Commission Chairman Mary Ellen Ellsworth, the Commission will make a decision how to move forward, and whether to hire a new caretaker, after Davis officially departs.
