FROM THE NEWSROOM: No one has been injured in a house fire northeast of Frankford. About 25 Quinte West firefighters responded after the blaze began in the living room of a century-old farm house on Frankford-Stirling Road, south of Flying Club Road, at 10-30 this morning. Fire Chief John Whelan says a man was cleaning a wood stove and embers fell onto the floor and ignited. He and his dog ran outside, and escaped injury. Whelan says the fire damaged about half of the house, and the damage figure is around 100-thousand dollars.
