FROM THE NEWSROOM: This weekend is your last chance to vote for downtown Putnam as the future site of a 10-week live music series during the Summer of 2015 – The Putnam Arts Council and Putnam Parks and Recreation Department continue to encourage people to make a final push for Putnam in the online voting. As reported, ten nonprofits, or municipalities partnering with a nonprofit, will receive up to $25,000 each in matching funds to produce their own Levitt AMP Music Series—an outdoor, free concert series featuring a diverse lineup of professional musicians. But WINYs Karen Osbrey reminds everyone that this Sunday is the last day to vote, and although as of Friday afternoon Putnam ranked number 7 on the list, its important the town remains high up on the list and not fall victim to a last minute push by any competing towns – Putnam must remain in the top 20 to make it to the final round, and higher ranking on the list could influence the final selection. But what if youve already voted? Osbrey says you can vote once per valid e-mail address, so if you have a separate work, school or other alternative e-mail address, you still have the chance to cast another vote by the end of the weekend. Supporters are asked to visit amp.levittpavilions.org/voter-registration-page to register and vote. Online public voting is open now and ends tomorrow, Sunday, at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time. The Top 20 finalists will be selected through online public voting. Levitt Pavilions will then review the Top 20 in December and the 10 winners will be announced December 15th.
