FROM THE NEWSROOM: Two proposed programs for regional services within the Northeastern Connecticut Council of Governments – a Cat Trap/Neuter/Release Program and a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Enhancement Study – have been awarded funding under the state’s Regional Performance Incentive Program, according to a news release. The $175,000 Regional Cat Trap/Neuter/Release Program is intended to help control the number of feral and roaming domestic cats. The $82,000 Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Enhancement Study will provide a comprehensive analysis of the 16-town region’s current pre-hospital emergency care system and an evaluation of alternatives to the current delivery system and other possible enhancements to patient care. This funding is part of a $1.25 million pool announced today by Governor Dannel Malloy. Tune in for details.
