FROM THE NEWSROOM: (UPDATE) No injuries were reported following a structure fire at 94 Viall Road in South Killingly today. Fire Chief Seth DeAngelis tells WINY the two story, early 1900s home was deemed a total loss, noting that about 80% of the structure was involved in the fire upon arrival by emergency responders. DeAngelis says the cause of the fire is under investigation by the local Fire Marshal. Area fire departments responded to the structure fire called in some time before 11:20 a.m. QVEC Dispatchers say the bulk of the blaze was knocked down by around 12:07 this afternoon. One displaced person is being assisted by the American Red Cross, according to fire officials. QVEC Dispatchers say that South Killingly, Danielson, Moosup, Sterling, Williamsville, Atwood Hose, East Brooklyn, Attawaugan, Oneco, Dayvile, Mortlake, and Foster fire departments were among those who responded, along with KB Ambulance.
