FROM THE NEWSROOM: With many changes in healthcare taking place, the Thompson Board of Education has been burdened with the task of finding more affordable healthcare coverage for school employees. At the most recent Board of Finance meeting, Superintendent Dr. Michael Jolin announced that the search is over and a new provider has been chosen. Dr. Jolin stated that he and the Board of Ed are “looking to change [their] coverage from Anthem to ConnectiCare.” The plan that ConnectiCare is offering will be equivalent in coverage to the existing one, which is set to skyrocket in cost.
