FROM UDOT: US-89/91 Sardine Canyon Repaving The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will continue making improvements to US Highway 89/91 between state Route 90 (200 South in Brigham City) and Mantua and between Sardine Summit and S.R. 23 in Wellsville through early September 2013. Current Project Activities The week of August 26: Between Brigham City and Mantua: Final barrier work and safety improvements will continue. Between S.R. 23 and the Summit: Crews are scheduled to begin installation of the final layer of asphalt this Sunday. Median barrier replacement at the large curve near the north end of the canyon will begin. Traffic Impacts: US-89/91 will be restricted to one lane from the Summit to Wellsville during daytime hours weekdays and weekends except from noon on Fridays until 7p.m. on Saturdays, when all lanes must be open. Motorists may experience some traffic delays and construction-related noise and vibrations. Lane restrictions will also be required to replace concrete barriers from Brigham City to Sardine Summit. Expect delays during peak travel times. Use S.R. 30 to I-15 as an alternate. Activities are subject to change due to weather, supply, or equipment problems.
