FROM UTLA ALUM -- Austin production company looking for Producers Assistant: Austin based film producer and crowdsourcing startup company CEO is accepting resumes to be considered for an assistant. This will be a full time position, and we strongly encourage you to apply if the following criteria are a fit for you. Assistant would be involved with the work flow for various film and other creative projects. Important qualities include being extremely organized, experienced in handling multiple projects at once, strong time management, excellent communication skills, and detail oriented. Duties would include but are not limited to maintaining producer’s schedule, keeping up with producer’s to do lists, logging and tracking documents, making all travel arrangements, completing script coverage, research assignments, and minor accounting tasks. Prior experience in a high paced/ high-pressure office environment, eagerness to work with a team, and a good sense of discretion are essential qualities in any candidate considered for the position. Proficiency with all Apple products and interfaces, Microsoft office programs including Word and Excel, and other-project oriented applications are preferred. Must be available to work long hours and occasional weekends. Assistant will be exposed to several aspects of the filmmaking process as well as the culture and process of startup companies. This position is ideal for anyone interested in becoming well versed in many different aspects of the industry. This individual will benefit from being involved directly with several projects.
