FROM ZERO TO HERO “And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, Because I bare him with sorrow. And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” (1 Chronicles 4:9-10) The beginning of Jabez’s journey was rough, but his unique faith in the Almighty God took him from a hopeless situation into glorious honor. His name was associated with sorrow and the shame was enough for him to submitto fate. But he changed that. He moved from zero to become a hero. How about you? What is in your past? Your past might have been so lamentable and sorrowful. There is a way out and there is hope for you. Are people calling you names? Don’t listen to them. Jabez didn’t. Like him, you must not give up. Be courageous. It was equally tough for some people before you, but today we read about their success stories.Your story will come next. However, it is possible that you might be holding some people responsible for the challenges that you have been facing. Actually you need to watch your response and attitude to the present situation. You must forgive such people so that you can have answers to your prayers. Allow God to deal with them so they can see His great work in your life Challenge: It is not over until it is over. Prayer: God of heaven help me to forget my past in order to be what you want me to be in future.
