FROZEN PIPE BUSTING ALERT: I spoke to my Dad and cousin today in Maryland, both have had pipes bust in their homes causing a mess. Leave the water on a trickle for every faucet in the house tonight, to prevent the water in the pipe from freezing. It does not matter if your house is old or new. Know where the main shut off valve is to your water supply in case you have a pipe burst. The chance of pipes bursting has increased since we have been below freezing since Tuesday evening.
