FT : Stoke City 1-1 Manchester United We start the new year with a draw and we now have a back to back draws and three consecutive away draws. As van Gaal said if you want to win the title you should win games like these. We were even lucky to come out with a draw as Stoke missed a great chance and had the ball hit the post by a header. We were poor in attack despite our large share of possession. Didnt understand the changes van Gaal made except that of Ashley Young. It was as if he was please with a draw. Januzaj was the only attacking change but to play at wing back, I dont know what van Gaal was thinking. Falcao was a far better player today than Robin van Persie but again why do you sub a striker off when you need a goal to win. He brought Herrera on to play in midfield but it seemed Rooney didnt move forward. He was still in midfield helping the team defend and we were playing van Persie as the lone striker when we need to win. I think we missed Di Maria and Fellaini but Fellaini most because Stoke out muscled us and they were strong in the air. He would have marked Crouch for the corner and possibly wouldnt have conceded so early. Not the very best of start to the new year. Your thoughts and who was your man of the match?????????
