FTA: But for whatever Republican motivated reason, these awkward leaps back and forth from economic talking points to political heroes and state figure heads of the American political system do one thing: Explain the extreme confusion Republicans often suffer from. They can see that markets work. They will even tout them as the engine for prosperity, but then they bounce from that clear vision almost immediately to the state being a necessary evil, and how it must prohibit trades in certain areas, maintain monopolies in others, and authoritatively demand you obey your masters in public positions. Quite confusing; befuddling actually.
