FUFA Defends Its Position On Coaches Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has defended its position on why it demanded coaches to pay a fee of Shs500,000 ahead of the CAF B for the license coaching course going on at Njeru technical center. Speaking to the FUFA spokesperson, Ahmed Hussein, he said the participants had to pay since the federation had no money to facilitate the two weeks coaching course. “The federation had no money and we had to get a way of getting money to facilitate the course,” said Hussein. Some of the coaches attending the course have raised complaints of being highly charged by the federation, further arguing that during Lawrence Mulindwa regime as the federation’s president, they never paid that much. Over forty coaches are attending the course however; it is the first time coaches have been demanded to pay much to attend the course. Meanwhile, the coaching course is compulsory. This course which will end this week, is the first of its kind and it is intended to help the local coaches upgrade from CAF license C. The federation isn’t willing to accommodate any club without a CAF B licensing coach to be part of the Uganda Premier League.
