FULL PRETERISTS answer me this: Following the logic of somem that Daniels prophecy was sealed due to it being a LONG TIME (hundreds of years) and Johns (book of Revelation) prophecy not being sealed due to the years being a SHORT TIME (40 years i.e. AD30-AD70). Question: So HOW can 40 years be a SHORT time elsewhere (Matthew 24) but 40 years be a LONG TIME in the very next chapter? (Matthew 25:19) After a LONG TIME the lord of those servants came and settled accounts with them. Additionally, since CHAPTER divisions were not created and inserted in Scripture until later, we have in this section of study known in Biblical hermeneutics knows as CONTRAST. Doesnt it appear one events (the destruction of Jerusalem) timing is KNOWN and SOON (this generation) whereas the other is unknown (no one knows the day or the hour)??? Seems to be a contrast doesnt of one being fulfilled in exactly 40 years WITHOUT DELAY and the other said by Jesus to be DELAYED? Also the Apostle Peter refers to the coming of Jesus in 2 Peter 3 as being DELAYED for the saving of souls does it not?
