FULL TIME POSITION: Rock Island Technology Solutions Position: Computer Repair Tech. Job Description: Diagnose and Repair customer computer hardware & software issues from virus, malware to hardware component failures. Desktop, Laptop and related systems, PC and Mac hardware experience required. All work performed in our service department located in Friday Harbor. Technical Experience: Extensive PC hardware and software troubleshooting and resolution experience required. Must be familiar with a myriad of diagnostic software and hardware tools to detect and resolve system problems. Laptop component repair experience a plus (we repair a lot of laptops!) such as DC Jack, LCD screen and chassis (bezel, hinge, etc) replacements. Communication and general skills: Self motivated; ability to work in a team as well as take individual responsibility. Flexible; ability to change priorities quickly, and capacity to handle multiple tasks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, must be able to interact with customers of all abilities in a professional manner. Keep up-to-date on technology trends, developments & best practices. Stay abreast with technical and operational tools and knowledge required to perform assigned duties.
