FUND RAISING SHOW AT CLOCK TOWER ON 1ST JUNE 2014 FOR A KIDNEY FAILURE PATIENT COUPLE: 4.00pm till 6.30pm Dear all, The Bhutan Kidney Foundation has received a letter from the Bhutan Film Association (BFA) to raise fund for one of their member Mr. Karma Wangchuk who is a kidney failure patient undergoing dialysis at JDWNRH. Since he comes from underprivileged family background with his wife too kidney failed who is undergoing dialysis in Gelephu hospital. It could be one of the couple whos both kidneys failed in the history on the Earth. Though our government (Ministry of Health) under noble head of the state, Our Beloved King, patients are being referred to India for kidney transplantation bearing all the expenses including daily allowance. BUT its not enough to sustain since the living standard at the treatment center is high. In this regard, we the family of the Foundation sincerely request all the supporters and the general public to support the couple to give the second chance to live. -Anyone willing to come and observe the show at the clock tower are most welcome.
