FUNDarte’s ‘Writing in Sand’ looks at Miami’s migrant women ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The world of migrant women in Miami goes under the artistic microscope in Writing in Sand, a world premiere multidisciplinary work by Carlos Caballero, featuring Cuban actress Mabel Roch, Brazilian dancer-choreographer Lucia Arantanha, Haitian musician Inez Barlatier and text by writer Griselda Ortiz. Presented by FUNDarte, the piece explores autobiographical material from the three performers to explore the realities of displacement, trauma, assimilation in Miami and other themes. Performed in Spanish with English supertitles, Writing in Sand will be presented in the On Stage Black Box Theater at Miami-Dade County Auditorium, 2901 W. Flagler St., Miami.
