FUTURE EVENTS: I am in the planning of a fundraiser... that will help homeless families get into there own place. We are talking about 75 families that are to be displaced. I will have more details later today. (I MAKE NO MONEY- I am volunteering all my time and expenses) 2) Adopt a Child/Family in NEED. Last year it was a last minute need and 160+ kids/family received Christmas. Including a family; that doctors sent their daughter to die at home. They lost their beautiful 6 year old daughter the same day her adoptee was to visit. As heartbreak that was.. it was healing for them and their little boy.. who was too young to understand the loss at Christmas. The little guy was given so much... helping to create good memories for this little guy. The adoptee brought gifts and meals, they became friends. This year I plan on a goal of 500 Children. I do NEED volunteers. I MAKE NO MONEY- 100% goes directly to the child. In order to make sure of it. I have asked teachers to suggest the child in NEED, and as you adopt one or more children, you will drop off everything directly with the teacher/school. I ask for a gift for each child.. it can be a simple $5 gift card and a candy. If they are a family, I ask for a meal of some sort. I will run a list of the children.. just ages and male or female. You choose WHO to adopt. 3) City Wide Bake Off and CRAFT Show: this is to highlight local businesses and home based ones in our city. Help get awareness of their business and talents- as the Holidays come up. 4) Ladies Night is Monthly 5) Candidates Meet & Greet- newspaper is non bias, just public service. I MAKE NO MONEY 6) Job Fair .. Oct 15th I MAKE NO MONEY-just public service. 7) Business Networking Group- weekly I MAKE NO MONEY-just public service. 8) Social Webpages for businesses- FREE advertising for businesses I MAKE NO MONEY-just public service. 9) I am working on a program that will help decrease crime in our city and others. It involves all Law Enforcement, K9s and local businesses. (details to follow). 10) As always.. Neighborhood News and Events newspaper Dedicated to the 47% Foster kids in MVUSD schools. FIGHTING daily those that want our youth to have NOTHING! Those that hate. And yes, the newspaper is a business. One that- at the end of the day.. hopefully it brings bacon to my table for my girls and I. EACH EVENT COST ME MY TIME and EXPENSES regardless if I make money or NOT. I sell ads and charge vendors a small fee at some events. Please do NOT ask for free ads.
