FUTURE SAILING STARS GET ONBOARD AZZAM Young sailors from the UAE National Sailing Team, based at the Abu Dhabi Sailing & Yacht Club, which is hosting the #VOR Destination Village, got to climb aboard our yacht Azzam today, along with our Emirati star Adil Khalid. The kids from the UAE Optimus Team took the tour with the local trimmer ahead of the Pro-Am Race for ADOR in the afternoon. It was great to take the kids aboard Azzam today, said Adil. They were really enthusiastic. I can see there are a lot of budding sailing stars of the future here! The tour group explored from bow to stern and young seaman Mohammed Abdulla Al Hammadi, aged 12 was inspired: It was interesting to see inside Azzam and see how the ADOR sailor live, he said. I hope to become like Adil one day. The VO65 yachts are still on show, dockside in the Destination Village until Leg 3 of the Race starts on Jan 3.
