FUTURES BRIGHT - AARON As a host of our youngsters head off on international duty this week, Aaron Lennon insists the future is bright at Spurs. Ryan Mason is the latest player to make his mark from Academy to first team, following in the recent footsteps of Harry Kane, Andros Townsend, Danny Rose, Nabil Bentaleb and Tom Carroll. Harry has hooked up with England Under-21s with Eric Dier, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard for the Euro U21 play-off against Croatia, Milos Veljkovic will play for Serbia U21s against Spain while Dominic Ball and Harry Winks are in the England U20 and U19 squads respectively. Throw in first team regulars Nabil (19), Ben Davies (21) and Erik Lamela (22) - on duty with Algeria, Wales and Argentina respectively - and you can see where ‘Azza’, now our longest-serving player, is coming from. “There are some great kids at the club and always has been,” said Aaron, who recently passed the 350-appearance milestone for us having signed in 2006. “You only have to look at the lads who have come through like Andros, Harry Kane, Tom Carroll, Nabil, Jake Livermore, Ryan Mason - they’ve all come through the system during my time here. “The young lads here now have trained with us a few times and I’ve been really impressed with them, they are all brilliant technically. “If they can keep their feet on the ground and continue to work as hard as they are doing then I think you’ll see a number of great home-grown players coming through soon. “The main thing is to work hard every day and listen to the people around them, the coaches, senior players and try to take in as much information as they can and try to take that onto the pitch. “It looks bright for the club. There are some exceptional talents here.”
