However, with the increased development of Mobile technology, Cloud computing and Social Media, sometimes customers do not know best; disruptive innovation projects create new value for internal and external customers. Join us as Luiz da Silva shares his experiences managing disruptive innovation projects and presents how project managers can define whether their projects are sustaining or disruptive and how disruptive projects can impact operational business processes in positive ways that customers do not expect. Speaker: Luiz da Silva is a technologist, certified professional project manager and advanced communicator focusing on delivering business results through the strategic use of technology. As a Manager of Business Technology for American Airlines, he leads the Enterprise Mobility Strategy for American Eagle Airlines - a subsidiary of AMR. He brings 15 years of experience in the Information Technology industry and 7 years of experience in the aviation industry. Luiz is the recipient of the 2007 American Airlines ITS Town Hall Outstanding Employee Recognition presented by the CIO of AMR, 2009 Flagship Speakers Club Outstanding Leader awarded by Toastmasters International, and 2010 Member Recognition Award presented by Fort Worth Project Management Institute. A native of São Paulo, Brazil, Luiz is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas and a Master of Business Administration degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
