FY15 Advanced Civil Schooling Public Affairs NCO - TopicsExpress

FY15 Advanced Civil Schooling Public Affairs NCO Selection Teammates, Please join me in congratulating SFC James E. Wilt Jr., CMF 46 Senior Small Group Leader at the Signal Corps NCO Academy at Fort Meade, Maryland, for being selected to attend the Georgetown University Public Relations/Corporate Communications Master of Professional Studies program in 2015. This is an incredible education and professional development opportunity for SFC Wilt, and I have no doubt he will represent the Army and Army Public Affairs extremely well. I expect him to return to the Army PA community with unparalleled knowledge to share with all of us during his follow-on assignments. Thanks again to all of the NCOs who submitted packets and vied for this once-in-a-career opportunity. According to the judging panel, all of the NCOs who submitted packets were highly qualified and competitive. The difference between the top two candidates was a mere 2/10ths of a point. That tight scoring just further validates the quality of NCOs in the Public Affairs Career Field. Leaders, please continue to encourage our NCOs to pursue this outstanding educational opportunity. Have them start preparing now by completing their bachelor’s degrees and have them start studying for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). GRE scores will be a discriminator in all future judging criteria. For more information regarding the Advanced Civil Schooling program, contact the Army Public Affairs Center Training Department at (310) 677-7292. Thank you for all you do on behalf of our Soldiers, our Army and our Nation! Army Strong! Gary J. Volesky Major General, U.S. Army Chief of Public Affairs
