FYI - March 23, 2014 HSFCA is currently seeking visual artists to submit qualifications for consideration for several commissioned works as part of the Artists in Residence Program, a collaboration between the Department of Education and the State Foundation. The project sites will be at various locations through the State of Hawaii. This program was established to implement an integrated visual arts in education program in public schools, as part of the State Foundation’s mission “To promote, perpetuate, preserve and encourage culture and the arts, history and the humanities as central to the quality of life of the people of Hawai‘i.” The deadline to submit qualifications is March 23, 2014 (11:59 p.m. Mountain Time). Submissions will only be accepted through CaFÉ (callforentry.org), a website developed by the Western States Arts Federation to facilitate calls for artists and artwork.
