FYI: I have had a middle-of-the-freakin-night knock on the door when I lived alone out in the middle of nowhere Three Points, Arizona. It was a bit unnerving, particularly as some break-in/rapes had taken place in the area in recent months. But somehow I managed not to kill someone over it. I just chose not to answer the door and was vigilant for the rest of the night, with Pepper as my backup. I look forward to hearing whether the bullet holes go through this mans door from the inside to out. Reports Ive read so far seem to suggest not. As a gun owner, I am also highly suspicious of the I accidentally shot her with a shotgun story that the killer is reportedly putting forth. Who on the goddamned earth answers their door with a loaded shotgun and their finger on the trigger where they can accidentally fire it? If you feel you are about to be burglarized or whatever, why are you answering the door instead of taking a position inside from which you can fire if someone actually does break in?
