FYI. Ken Buechs has submitted a Citizen Petition for Fall Town Meeting, Article 40, for a BEACH RAKE. Here are the details, from his post: It is Article 40, to raise and appropriate funds to purchase and maintain a Barber Beach Rake model 600HD. The article has the support of our Board Of Selectmen,Town Manager, Finance Committee, Capital Outlay Committee, and the Department of Marine and Environmental Affairs -Town of Plymouth, David Gould Director. The beach rake permits are in process for use on Long Beach from Sandys to Manters Point,(beyond this point would not be allowed due to Shorebird habitat) White Horse Beach, (public beach only) Morton Park, and Hedges Pond. DMEA would work with Parks and Recreation to assess the appropriate use at other sites....This Raking process is supported by the Towns DMEA David Gould, and I have a letter of support. Please advise your Town Meeting Representative to Support Article 40...
