Also an update to N&S today (below) and details of our letters At least 40 people turned up to stand against the continued bombing of Gaza and our letters to the USA and Israeli embassies received over 200 signatures each. There was a constant stream of citizens queuing up to sign... and had we had more space/print outs we could have gathered even more. Our leaflet stocks are depleted- interest in both our group and the national campaign was enormous. I think the things that stood out from today were *peoples shock at the graphics which show the reduction in size of Palestinian territory over the years- especially in recent years (see website below for graphic)- the country is vanishing rapidly *people expressed their belief in the right of Palestine to exist as a nation state. *concern was raised that the Palestinians have no legitimate means to defend themselves (there is no Palestinian military) and they are dependent on outsiders- us- to defend their right to life. *horror that the attacks are targetting civilians, children, refugees Hope youre all happy with that!
