FYI: WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER TWO TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: TROPICAL DEPRESSION #WilmaPH ISSUED AT 11:00 AM, 04 NOVEMBER 2013 (Valid for broadcast until the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today) Tropical depression “wilma” has maintained its strength as it continues to move westward towards caraga region. Location of eye/center: At 10:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “WILMA” was estimated based on all available data at 75 km North Northeast of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur (9.0°N, 126.6°E). Strength: Maximum winds of 55 kph near the center . Movement: Forecast to move West at 19 kph. Forecast Position: Tropical Depression “WILMA” is expected to make landfall over Surigao Del Sur this afternoon and will be at 40 km West of Dumaguete City by tomorrow morning and in the vicinity of Puerto Princesa City by Wednesday morning. By Thursday morning, it is expected to be at 440 km West of Puerto Princesa City or outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). PUBLIC STORM WARNING SIGNAL#1: (Winds of 30-60 kph is expected in at least 36 hours) #Visayas(Southern part of Negros Occidental, Southern part of Negros Oriental, Southern Cebu, Siquijor, Bohol and Southern Leyte) #Mindanao(Dinagat Island, Surigao Del Norte including Siargao Island, Surigao Del Sur, Agusan Del Norte, Agusan Del Sur, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin Island and Northern part of Zamboanga Del Norte) •Estimated rainfall amount is from 10.0 - 25.0 mm per hour (heavy - intense) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. •Areas under Public Storm Warning Signal #1 are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. •The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to take appropriate actions and watch for the next bulletin to be issued at 5 PM today.
