FYI We are currently recruiting Jefferson County youth ages 14-19 years of age to participate in CHAMPS! a teen pregnancy prevention research study funded by the Office of Adolescent Health, DHHS and the University of Louisville, Kent School of Social Work. CHAMPS! stands for “Creating Healthy Adolescents through Meaningful Prevention Services”. The next CHAMPS! Camp will be hosted by First Neighborhood Place @ TJ Middle School on Saturday, July 20, 2013 & Saturday, July 27, 2013. Participants completing both days will receive a $75 VISA gift card. Please note that space is limited. If by chance someone would like to participate but cannot participate on the specified dates, there will be plenty of chances to participate! NOTE: A flyer stating the dates and location have been attached for your convenience. Please feel free to provide these flyers to interested youth and/or parents/guardians. Participants under the age of 18 must receive a packet from our office in order to receive parental/guardian consent prior to youth participation in the study. Participants ages 18 and 19 will not require parental/guardian consent but must also provide consent prior to their participation.
