FYI on the Lindenhurst Schools website today, 10/29/14: Important Message from Superintendent of Schools Daniel E. Giordano Earlier this morning, Oct. 29, the students of William Rall Elementary School were evacuated from the building and led to the field at the rear perimeter of the property. The evacuation was in response to an unspecified threat to the building found in a boys bathroom stall. Upon discovering the threat, the district immediately contacted the local law enforcement authorities. As a precautionary measure, the Suffolk County Police Department and district security personnel conducted a search of the building and investigated this matter. At no time was there a threat to the immediate safety and well-being of students and staff. However, we must treat such matters with the utmost caution, as safety is always our top priority. The evacuation lasted approximately 30 minutes. The Suffolk County Police Department found no validity to this threat and students were allowed back into their classrooms.
