FYI to all homeowners. Did you know that most homeowners insurance will not cover contracted workers on your property? and you could be fully responsible for it? Never ever hire a contractor that refuses to supply you with an insurance certificate, all reputable contractors carry lots of insurance. liability, workers compensation. vehicle and equipment insurance. You would be amazed at how many contractors in our area do not carry insurance. Even more that do not cover their employees. More shocking is most homeowners never ask for an insurance certificate from the contractor, before they hire them. Maybe 1 in a hundred homeowners actually ask me if I even have insurance, Dont be left holding the bag for an injury. ask for insurance certificate. It will also help the legitimate contractors out by weeding out the fly by night guys.
