Whilst searching for pin up type pics for an upcoming event we realised that the rather fab image on the vintage tie (now sold) was either by or taken from an image by GIL ELVGREN (1914-1980). He was an American pin-up and glamour artist of the twentieth century renowned as the best pin-up artist in the history of American Illustration. His talent was prolific enough and important enough to support a major book. The Great American Pin-up.
