Fabe 348, Heinse 354 and Beart 411 declared Preferent. This has been in the pipeline for quite a few weeks, but as from now three stallions may proudly carry the Preferent title: Fabe 348, Heinse 354 and Beart 411. Awarding Preferent titles to stallions routinely takes place at the end of the year. This rather unusual timing however, is caused by the changes in regulations dating from the latest meeting of the Member Council. This change in regulations means that the standard for Preferent status is no longer subject to economic trends with regard to the annual number of stud services. Additionally, the KFPS Inspection has been given some power of veto. Some characteristics which are not included in the standards for Preferent status, such as markings, character and possible hereditary defects will be evaluated by the Inspection team. But in the case of these three stallions the Inspection´s decision was a mere matter of form. Where Heinse 354 is concerned the Preferent title is awarded posthumously since he died a couple of years ago. Fabe 348 and Beart 411 are both still fully active and very popular with the breeders. Beart 411´s performance really stands out as he is probably the youngest stallion ever to be awarded Preferent status. More detailed information on the Preferentship of this special threesome will follow shortly in ‘Phryso’ and the newsletter. Beart 411, Fabe 348 and Heinse 354
