Fabio Borini says he wants to stay at Liverpool despite reports linking the striker with a return to Serie A. The Reds forward was the match-winner for Italy’s Under-21 side after he scored a second-half winner against the Netherlands on Saturday, booking the Azzurri’s place in the European Under-21 championship final. Borini’s performances at the tournament have ensured a positive end to what has been a difficult first campaign as a Liverpool player following a £10.5m move to Anfield from Roma last summer. The 21-year-old was left sidelined for almost three months with a broken foot which he picked up an international duty in October before dislocating his shoulder in a 5-0 win against Swansea City in February. But Borini is not looking to end his spell in the Premier League. “Am I looking to move abroad? People need to think more about my situation,” said Borini. “In Italy people give more time to foreigners than they do to youngsters. “I feel really good in England.” Borini has scored two goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Reds after swapping Roma for Liverpool last July. >>CR
