Fabulous morning, shaping up for another scorcher! Rather than breakfasting on the patio, mum is beetling about cleaning like we are expecting a visit from royalty. Apparently its her granny ( the boys great granny) which mum says is more stressful!! Shes fab, little granny, as big sis calls her, but is very much of the generation where children like the boy were just a bit slow and badly behaved. Autism, in the way we know it hasnt been around for that long and there are countless undiagnosed elderly sufferers who have lived lives unsupported and misunderstood which makes mum sad. Little granny tries her best to get her head round it and accepts the boy for who he is but mum knows its a lot for her and that she gets upset when the boys behaviour is less typical. However, with a sideboard covered in keepsakes and expensive ornaments, a garden with no gate and a cupboard full of biscuits, a visit here is by far the safer option!! Mums hoping the boy is on form today so its a nice visit for all concerned - I think shes praying hell keep granny busy so she doesnt notice the jammy hand prints on the walls or the fact that mums sweating profusely in the only t shirt with sleeves long enough to cover her tattoo!!!! Ole honks gonna be watching from my lounger with a cold drink and a wry smile! Dont forget the sunscreen Honksters xxx
