Fabulous week despite the terrible news worldwide. On Aug. 8, my daughter and I went to see James Brown or Get On Up, a very very beautiful movie about our own James Brown, but I got home with all that excitement to the news of my friend, dying. So, boom, I forgot to wish Happy Birthday to so many beloved friends due to my grief, so forgive me, beautiful people. Ill make up to you. On August 9, Saturday, I did something fabulous. Drove up to State College where my girls, and I mean so many African girls from almost every region of the continent had gathered in my friend, Judiths house (Judith called the party, so blame her) with food and drinks, of course, they told me not to bring a thing, and we ate, talked loud, argued about Africa, of course, I told them it was forbidden to tease me about Ebola, hushing them up on that one. After all, and heres the secret: I was sleeping over, did I tell you, at Judiths? Oh, yes, my daughter was jealous. Mommie had a sleepover at her friends, who ever heard of that? It was just so wonderful being away from my abode and the hospital. Returned home yesterday. Im in bed all day, guys, exhausted, of course. Pray for Liberia. Pray for Liberia and the world.
