Face it, were a small press, but even so, weve had our share of accolades and awards with the books weve acquired, polished, and published; were not just another small press. Like I tell authors, if youre writing for the money, you would do better to try a larger publisher, but of course your chances will be drastically reduced with that scenario (lets face it; they receive thousands of submissions a year compared to our hundreds). If youre after quality, a book you can be proud of for years to come, and a sales future influenced primarily by author-marketing efforts, youve come to the right place. Small presses are ... small. Theres no getting around the downsides of small press budget and marketing, though I do believe we do more than most in this area. - from our website Theres never a win-win scenario - if there was, everyone would take it! Thats why authors must be ready to not only get serious about their writing, but about their marketing.
