Face palm moment of my week thus far: yesterday I stepped onto the porch of my new (second floor) apartment, setting down empty boxes just in time to hear the locked door close behind me. No phone, no keys, no shoes. Ring the managers doorbell, shes not home. Search the premises for a ladder, no luck. So I walk to the next street over and ask several nice construction dudes if I can please borrow a ladder for fifteen minutes. Luckily someone obliged and I got a hand carrying said ladder around the neighborhood so I could climb in a window I had thankfully left open.....
