Facebook (Facepalm? Faceblock?) is reported to have blocked the page that calls for the people of Russia to come and discuss the situation surrounding the unjust and politically motivated trial of the opposition leader Alexei Navalny on the day his verdict will be announced. The prosecution called for 10 years of imprisonment based on clearly groundless accusations. But here Id like to discuss the way Facebook handles this. Apparently, the block was performed without a court injunction, and furthermore, the block is reported to be active outside of the borders of Russia. This is a rotten behavior on behalf of Facebook, and Id welcome your opinions on what can be done in order to show Facebook our displeasure about their willingness to shut people up when required to do so by the Russian special services. Ideas?
