As a point of interest, the earliest concept drawing depicts landing gear struts that angle forward, allowing the tires to clear the front spar when retracted. But de Monge ultimately chose a different layout for the prototype 100P. Instead of angling the landing gear struts, he chose to dramatically curve the front spar rearward to make room for the main landing gear wheels. These photos, taken during construction during 2011, show the curved the front spar (L) and the main landing gear retracted into the wheel wells (R). It is a very tight fit!
