Facebook Release For Immediate Release: 9/11/2014 02:16am By: Editor, Progress Mpangane VUT students were assaulted and beaten in their own backyard by three gentlemen from Sebokeng. The incident occurred after a group of students had a chilas (social gathering) at Dinaleding Residence (Main Camp), saturday night. After a short misunderstanding between a lady and Gentlemen, both from VUT ended- the lady and her two friends left the scene and returned with three gentlemen from Sebokeng who left no stones unturned and started fighting innocent students who felt Mafoko securities failed to protect them, when they needed them most. Those three ladies are known to the students newspaper, and, without being biased what they did was uncalled and out of order, the matter at hand should have had been resolved internal- Justice must prevail. One student was quoted saying These three ladies must be expelled from residence. We are no longer safe when students we perceives as our sisters invite external people to fight us, these ladies must face serious charges- said a student, who wanted to remain anonymous Students again emphasized that, Mafoko must go, unless students lives will continue being at risks. Mafoko got a back up from Vanderbijlpark police who cooled the situation. No one was arrested by the time this story was published.
