Facebook asks whats on my mind - wow, a lot! In 3 weeks we will be leaving lovely Paraguay for the U.S. -- with lots of luggage, 3 dogs and a cat! Susie will be graduating from high school (yay, Susie!) and we will be preparing to move to Nigeria. All of this has me in a mix of emotion -- I am leaving my wonderful, brilliant, kind, thoughtful, one-of-a-kind students, I am leaving my organizer extraordinaire, Gladys, I am leaving Latin America (weve lived here on and off for 25 years!), with all its quirks, idiosyncrasies, new words to learn for each country, the lovely traditions, the focus on the family. Im going to miss all of it. But, I am excited by the opportunity of Nigeria -- yes, the risks (Steve and I love the adventure), the newness, the differentness, all of it, I am excited by. So what is on my mind? so so so much -- its a jumble, full of emotion, full of anticipation. Three weeks to go -- so much to do, so much to try to hold in my memory.
