Facebook friends, we have another Happy Tails pal looking for a new home. Please let us know if you would like any more information. Derbie is a wonderful dog who is in need of a loving home. She is a 2 1/2 to 3 year old Border Collie Mix. The owner has to rehome her due to financial constraints. She has a lot of energy when she wants to play but can also relax on her doggie bed or couch most of the time. She loves playing with other dogs, kids and people. She is in a temporary home now with lots of dogs and a 1 1/2 year old child who adores her. She loves going for walks, especially when wearing her doggie backpack. She is leash trained, potty trained and not only crate trained but also loves taking naps in her crate when she is tired. She loves to please her owner. She needs a strong leader and with a strong leader she will be a great dog. She knows how to sit, stay, lay down, go to her crate, get off furniture or you, she knows the words outside, treat, dinner and breakfast. She is incredibly smart and intuitive!! She would do amazing learning agility. She doesnt play with a lot of toys but loves her kongs of peanut butter and treats. Her 3 favorite things to do are play with other dogs or her family, go for walks and snuggle on the couch or in bed. She is a big snuggler! She is a bit hesitant around men and some women when first meeting them, but as soon as she knows its ok, she will be that persons best friend and do anything they want her to do. Please help her find a good home. She is an amazing dog!
