Facebook has (had - I just installed social fixer) all these odd Sponsored links, notably a plethora of ads to meet women. So Im left to think, why is this even showing on my page and why would I even be interested in this ad, other than perhaps being an upright and bipedal male is the only requirement for the ad to show? Ive spent my time trying to stay away from women (and people in general) who feel the need to validate themselves through loud drunken carousing, or those whose greatest daily achievement is knowing what happened on all the latest TV shows the night before. etc. etc. Hanging with the 20 somethings just isnt my idea of fun. On the other side of the spectrum is Colleen Maloney Garlock, the woman I married. She grown into an individual, is mature enough to have a solid identity, and is wise enough to know where she might want to go during her lifes journey. There are all the things we share; books, music, deep discussions, debates, faith, - things that never seem to crop up in the younger crowd. Of course, our children are grown, or nearly so, which brings an entirely different set of perspectives - again something a younger crowd cant relate to. These are all comparisons and stereotypes of course, and there is more to our relationship than this. I am grateful we share all the above, but I am in love with much more than a facebook post could ever entail, way more than any simple list from a dating site and a thumbnail of some scantily/suggestively clad photo could provide.
