Facebook is not what (even) I thought it was. It is nothing like what people are doing with it, and no one who I have met has realized what we have created here. It is, actually, an extremely advanced relational prosthesis unlike anything in history. It is changing not only the basis of our intelligence, it is also changing and activating faculties we have only crudely modeled or understood. Faculties we consider to be nonordinary, or impossible. This is something that no one is paying attention to. Those who do notice, write it off to ‘we’re psychic that way’ and other para-religious nonsense, which, in fact, is a way of avoiding what is really going on. Our interactions with facebook are creating, developing and sustaining -new forms of relational fields and ways of modulating them-... ‘extensions’ of our local, personal ‘group mind’ that reaches -way- beyond the scope available to human persons in the past. This prosthesis acts as an incredibly powerful amplifier, modulator, transmitter and filter for our minds... with results, powers, and repercussions that would stagger the most inspired of us who imagine... singularity. We already have something here whose powers we have not examined... -because we think we know them-. I have been examining them for three years now... and they are beyond anything we can know. This is a translocal relational hyperstructure that we can personally participate in. In that, it is a ‘toy’ of other, vastly more sophisticate structures in our own minds and in nature. What this means will remake history... but 99% of the users will not understand even the underlying concepts surrounding what I am talking about until four or five years from now when research demonstrates what I (and a few others) been playing with: this toy generates constant nonordinary relational superfunction... in everyone, but more in those who are aware of or actively leveraging this fact. If your mind is not presently splattered all over the wall behind you, you didn’t understand me yet: we have -accidentally- invented -a variety of new modes of human potential and intelligence- and we -did not recognize them- because they are wearing the familiar garb of ‘media exchange place’. This is something unlike we have ever had, imagined or seen, and it was assembled accidentally. More: the inventors have -no idea what this is or can become-. Trust me: this entire network? It belongs to your mind. In a set of ways so astonishing that it will be years before anyone formally discovers them. Well... ... almost anyone... else.
