Facebook is phenomenal!!! It brings people together and reestablish friendships and acquaintances that frazzled as a result of distances or time.... So I got reacquainted with a childhood friend.... Weve known each other basically all our lives. We grew up together literally. Our community was one that really believed it takes a village So we all had vested interests in the daily well being of each others life... But as time would have it we grew apart, moved away and began our own lives.. I had not seen or heard from my friend in over 20 years! About three years ago, I wondered right back into the life of this wonderful specimen via Facebook... Still very much physically far apart, I being in Florida at the time and well, my old friend being up north... The only hopes of communicating, at least so I thought, was via Facebook and/or phone... Well, as fate would have it, all that changed last week... I had the privilege to walk back into this wonderful individuals life, and oh the thrill and excitement of seeing an old friend again... I had a memorable, enjoyable fun filled time, getting reacquainted... All though the time we spent together was brief, I am hopeful that we will be able to see each other again, and have the good fortune in spending much more time together... It was wonderful seeing you again L.S. I had an amazing time, and I cant wait to see you again... This song came to mind when I thought of how we reconnected, although our friendship is NOT in the realms of the sentiments being portrayed in the song.... Anyways, sure is nice seeing you again.
