Facebook keeps asking me what Ive been up to. OK. Im about to host and help run 3 months of Record Club gigs at The Newport Hotel in Fremantle with 13 or something superbands all frantically rehearsing some of the most classic albums ever. Oh yeah, and Im also performing the ENTIRE Pink Floyd The Wall double album, sync-ed to the actual movie on the big screen. So were kinda practicing that a bit. I just released my third album online on a service called Bandcamp which, surprisingly, seems to be freakin awesome so my crazy 19 track album is actually selling quite well, thanks, and people even want to talk to me about it and stuff. So Im now acting as Manager, Record Label, Publicist and Booking Agent for this Steve Parkin dude. I got a whole bunch of my Steve Parkin Song Workshops booked in again, where I spend a day or days with another awesome songwriter or band and knuckle down to turn every song into a HIT! Oh yeah, I got a whole bunch of my own gigs lined up and 19 wacky, experimental layered, freaky new songs to try and work out how to play live on my own solo. First gig is SOTA on Saturday! My Lear-Jet riding, Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates pal, alter-ego Mono, of the band U-Tube, (The Greatest Tribute Band In Leederville seems to have risen from the dead due to a gentleman by the name of Bob Gordon, who has his own festival. This Sunday. We havent played or rehearsed for about 12 months. And so, Facebook, how do I feel about this busy, manic schedule? Bloody awesome!!! Bring it on, world, I am LOVING life right now.
