Facebook on Wednesday said it has reached 1 million advertisers. Forbes interprets the number as signaling that Facebook “has become a mainstream advertising channel for small and medium-sized businesses.” Facebook is also reporting more than 2 billion connections between members and local businesses. < We did this. All of us did this for free. Google, Facebook, etc. we did all of this work for them, for free. Did you ever read the terms of service for any of the free services that you signed up for? Terms of Service for Gmail? Facebook? Chrome? Bing? We made these companies billions, all of us, giving away our data for free. Worried about PRISM and the CIA snooping on us? Why? We sold away our rights to privacy long ago. We sold away our privacy in exchange for the ability to post pictures of grumpy cats. Last point: more than 50% of all Internet use is video - and that is not for school projects. Ahem. >
