Facebook sends me (friends I might know notices) now and then and I find that most are female. They have cute cartoons or anime style profile pics with cute eyes or Disney like animal faces. Many are graphic artists like myself. HOWEVER...... The male friend suggestions are pictures of grotesque monsters or scary images with disturbing ideas of how death looks. They too are in the business of selling their art services. Just who their clients are I can guess they are not women. I often choose the woman as friends only to avoid looking at images of heavy metal album covers with men on flying motorcycles with a severed heads on the end of a sword. I am not looking for girlfriends as I have no time for that, but I do think I spend far too much time with dudes in my real life away from the internet. But it would be nice if Facebook sent me Friend suggestions of people that BUY ART. I have too many FB Friends that are trying to sell art. I think I need to make it clear that showing my work to other talented people of either gender is self defeating.
