Facing Family One Day At a Glance AMOS 3:12 Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of an ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch It is often said that we should appear to be in the way of Christ in all things we do. There is however a human way in all of us. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak. We can rely on our own strength at times and end up in a lion’s den eaten, or we can be of the calling and end up in a fiery furnace. It doesn’t matter how we got to where we are at, as long as we are saved along the way. GOD will rescue you from whatever situation you are in, no matter the reasons you are there, or the filth that has abominated you. He began a good work in you and he is going to finish it to the end. He is not going to leave you setting in the midst of the devils. You can pretend as though everything is just fine, and sit on the couch watching TV as though you are not doing anything wrong but GOD doesn’t care what you think about the situation or how you even justify your works due to the peoples surrounding you. He will come and take what is his, the remnant of what hasn’t been destroyed already. You may think at one point or another in your walk with Christ that you have veered so badly you can’t be on the straight and narrow anymore. This is incorrect and one of satans biggest excuses he gives to those that have gone astray, backslidden. He causes the children to believe that they have entered into a land of sin and that It will take forever to get back to the glory of GOD. This however is a lie. It only takes one prayer. If you don’t walk back to the straight path, he will come and retrieve you. Whether it be an arm or leg left, it is of value to Christ. He is not worried about recreating the person he would have you to be. You will be attained, snatched up, from where you are sitting, and all that will remain in it’s stead is a piece of cloth showing you were there. He will transform you into a new creature before it is over. Not one of his children who have gone astray will stay gone. Every one of the Shepard’s sheep are of value. Every piece including the ear is his, and he will come and retrieve you from the enemy, even if you are complacent and unaware of your backsliding. If you are unaware that you are being devoured by the lion then you are to stop doing what you are doing and see if your life has value. If you are not working for the kingdom of GOD, you are working against it. Every day you have on this earth is to be used to further the kingdom in one form or another. Every second is valuable to Christ. Wasting his time frolicking with heathens is saying that he didn’t die long enough. Maybe he should have lingered before getting to the cross. Would this be an easier reminder if we were to remember him for his death? I don’t think so. I think all of us that are born again like to embellish his life and what he did for all of us. To ask Christ to die again is of the utmost satanistic expression that a human could call for. So if you have been saved, and gone astray, should Father accept you back into the fold as though his son’s nails weren’t enough the first round? We are a new creature in Christ, and that is to be maintained forever. GOD is going to come after you, no matter how deep the sin you are in.
