Facing Family One Day At a Glance Mark 2:16 When the teachers of the law who were Pharisees saw him eating with the sinners and tax collectors, they asked his disciples: "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" There’s a time and a place for everything under the sun. So if there is a time, than that means there is a clock, if there is a clock, that that means there is a minute, if there is a minute, that means there’s a second, if I got a second, you got my time. I don’t mean to be judgmental in the slightest, but if you think you are too good to be my friend whilst I am around the sinners, than you are not my friend. I don’t mean to sound rude, but I don’t have time for friends, I only have time for service. If the doctor only sees the healthy, his business would be null. If Jesus only hung with the believers, his word would be scarce. If I only hang with friends, my rewards would be minimal. I have a mansion in heaven I seek to adorn with whatever rainbow waterfalls GOD is going to provide me to view all day and night. If my chandelier crystals are being provided on a reward basis, I want a couple tiers. We are awarded according to our works. I don’t think I need to base my family on blood…….nor do I need to provide myself with friends. Those are gifts during service to Christ. If I count you as a friend, you are rare, you are a true gift from GOD. All others in my servitude have a mission on my heart and that is to spread the good news of the gospel and to show the love of Christ through my actions. Don’t mistake friendship for service. As a believer, we come into contact with many of souls though out a given day. One will be of your liking. You may have quite a few things in common with them. Heck, they might even have your same birth date, but it’s not friendship that should be your motive. Our ‘job’ to say as the least of these is to lead others to Christ. To spread the news of the gospel. If you haven’t planted a seed every day, you have wasted a day……to GOD, that’s a thousand years! So maybe you look upon me as though I hang out with drug addicts, liars, horrors, pimps, dealers, vagabonds, and drunkards as a joyous encounter for my selfish perverse needs, but to the contrary they are who I used to be. I have no problem relating with everyone of the world’s misfits. I was one. I have no problem realizing that they are all human souls that just need a friend. Here am I, Lord. Use me as your servant, please! When the day arrives, your grace is sufficient for me to walk this earth and enjoy your works of grace. In fact Father, I’m thankful I get to hangout with the corrupted unbelievers. This reminds me of where I was, and why I will forever remain in the fold of GOD rather than the blindfold of friends determining how my days will be spent. I am grateful for the opportunities to witness to all of those who have gone before me to heaven and left their loved ones on earth. This is an honor. I know Lord that your children are all caught up in the devil’s nets and it is our job, as your chosen righteous children to un snare their very livelihoods. Thank you GOD for the opportunity to party with the sinners. I am grateful that you have entrusted me with your service and believe upon my faith in you to remain strong in the midst of the demons possessive handwork. May I go forth and present you at the best within the worst. May one word or action hit/pierce the ears of the lost. May all my seeds be sewn and reaped. If for one minute I veer from the chosen path to hang with my friends instead of lead the lost to Christ, I pray he doesn’t lose a beat when I waste his second. May all my days be filled with the lost souls of Christ, and may all my friends count their selves blessed to have a believer in their daily life. There’s a million angels doing cartwheels in heaven for every single soul that surrenders. I’m looking to party hard……
